Pre-school Day Programs

Pre-school (3-4 year old)

Three-and-four-year-old are when kids form their own ideas about how they want to learn and play. They are full of curiosity and spend a lot of time observing. A strong foundation starts here, where their fine motor skills are being perfected. At this age a child will learn how to hold their crayons and pencils the correct way to pretend to write and draw. Students will learn how to pour, mix, and squeeze. Your child will learn about the concept of shapes, colors, counting, and letter
recognition. We will also focus on gross motor skills: catching and throwing a ball, climbing, and yoga. We believe that manners matter, and it is important to create social awareness such as making friends, using our please and thank you, and how to be a classroom helper, teacher’s aide, or line leader. The following are routines for this age group:

  • Your child will start each morning with circle time.
  • Sing a combination of songs and poetry.
  • Reading or act out a story.
  • They will be introduced to the days, weeks and months of the year, and the weather of the day.
